The Malta première of Outlasting – Living Archives of Older Queers (2025, 56 min), directed by Ana Cristina Santos and Nuno Barbosa, brings to Malta a documentary built around the life stories of older LGBTQI+ people across Southern Europe. Drawing on experiences from Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta and Slovenia, the film explores ageing, memory, resistance and queer citizenship, presenting the lived memories of older LGBTQI+ people as a powerful living archive.

The screening will be followed by a moderated panel discussion and Q&A with the film's directors and invited guests, offering an opportunity to reflect on the film and on questions of LGBTQI+ ageing, citizenship, memory and visibility in Malta and Europe.

_{The event is organised by TRACE – Tracing Queer Citizenship Over Time: Ageing, ageism and age-related LGBTI+ politics in Europe, an ERC-funded project (ERC-2021-COG, Grant Agreement No. 101044915), in partnership with the Human Rights Directorate of the Government of Malta – SOGIGESC Unit.}
