Quilombola Leader from the Piaui Caatinga, Antonio Bispo dos Santos’ thought is gaining ground in academic debate, especially after the publication, in different languages, of the book A terra dá, a terra quer (2023) - which happened in the same year as the death (or ancestralisation) of Nego Bispo. His ability to occupy words, dried up by use under colonialist pragmatism and rationalism, transforming them into seed words - concepts permeated by the pluriversality of meanings and engagement in the counter-colonial struggle - is one of the foundations that give Bispo a prominent place in the construction of the struggle against epistemicide and various forms of racism.

In this event, we will seek to present Nego Bispo's seed words and his method of occupying words, as well as inserting these concepts into the context of the struggles for racial equality in Brazil, passing through the achievements of social movements in the success of the racial quota law in universities (Law 12.711/2012) and the importance of the application of Law 10.639/2003 (and 11.645/2008) to Brazilian literature and culture.
