In this session of the Gender Workshop Series, the feminist discussion will focus on migrant women in Portugal, based on the work of Ana Paula Costa, who will be interviewed by Eliane Godinho.
Bio notes
Ana Paula Costa holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil. She has a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from NOVA Universidade Nova de Lisboa and is a PhD candidate in Political Science, specialising in Public Policy, at the same university. She is an associate researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI). Member of the Ibero-American Network for Research on Migration and Spatial Mobility of the Population (RIIMEP), at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. President of Casa do Brasil in Lisbon and Founder of the Geni Platform. In 2025, she was named one of the 100 most influential Black people in the Portuguese-speaking world, according to Bantumen’s Powerlist 100.
