Ethics Committee: What we do, why we do it and how we support your research

This session aims to present the work of the CES Ethics Committee (CE-CES), how it operates, and the type of support it provides to the CES community.

Created in 2017, CE-CES is an independent, multidisciplinary, and advisory body aimed at promoting and ensuring high ethical standards in scientific research, teaching, and outreach activities.

This session will present the role and competencies of the Committee, the principles that guide its actions - namely dignity and non-discrimination, respect for autonomy, responsibility, intellectual freedom, integrity, transparency and accountability - as well as the importance of ethics in scientific practice. It will also explain who can resort to CE-CES and under what circumstances.

The session is open to the entire academic community, with a special focus on PhD candidates and researchers, and will be led by:
