The research team, doctoral students, and technical staff of CES gathered on July 17, 2025, for the Strategic Reflection Meeting of the Centre for Social Studies (CES).

Through participatory working methodologies, the team sought to respond to the demands and expectations of the present time, in an effort to deepen the collective construction that characterises the centre's identity. The focus of the meeting was, in one respect, on the strengthening and cohesion of the group and, in the other, on the projection and consolidation of the common scientific project, with an eye to the future and the celebration of CES's 50th anniversary in 2028.

The working day was a key moment for meeting, taking stock and planning, in which CES jointly reflected on its role in the scientific system and in the world. The diversity and active involvement of all participants were clear signs of the vitality of the CES community and its ability to continually rethink itself as a space for the production of critical, pluralistic knowledge committed to social transformation.
