Mariana Licori
Biography
Mariana holds a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Literature from University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, and a master's degree in Women and Gender Studies from the Universities of Bologna, Italy, and Lodz, Poland. For the master's thesis presented in Bologna in 2024, she investigated how Brazilian sex workers negotiate their existence in Italy, particularly in Emilia-Romagna and Rome, and the final grade was 110/110 with honor. She participates in the group LIEG (Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Gender Studies) hosted by UNESP-Marília, Brazil; is currently a PhD student in Human Rights and Contemporary Societies and researches on trans people, migration and asylum.
