Filipe Almeida


Biography

Filipe Almeida has a PhD in Management from Getúlio Vargas Foundation - Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and a master in Business Sciences from the School of Economics of the University of Coimbra, where he is a teacher since 1996. He attended in 1999 the MBA program at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (USA). He's author of the books "Ética, Valores Humanos e Responsabilidade Social das Empresas" (Princípia, 2010) and "Organizações, Pessoas e Novas Tecnologias" (Quarteto, 2002), co-author of the book "Introdução à Gestão de Organizações" (Vida Económica, 2004) and co-editor of the book "Governance and Management Models in Higher Education" (Vida Económica, 2009). His current research interests in business management are ethics, moral philosophy and corporate social responsibility.
