Biography

Beatriz Rodrigues is a Master's student in International Relations - Peace, Security and Development Studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC), where she also completed her Bachelor's degree in International Relations. She is currently a junior researcher in the project "PROTEST - Protest as a Democracy Test: Protest Culture under Transformation and as a Transformative Power" at the Centre for Social Studies (CES). She serves as the student representative on the Pedagogical Council of FEUC (2024-2026), is a co-founder of the Portuguese Association Pela Igualdade, and a member of the coordinating team of the Coimbra Local Group of Amnesty International. She also completed a communications internship at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Brazil. Her research interests focus on critical studies of peace and violence, social movements and resistance, and feminist approaches to international security.
