Anna Di Franco
Biography
I am a PhD candidate in International Politics and Conflict Resolution at the University of Coimbra (Portugal), affiliated with the Centre for Social Studies (CES), and funded by a competitive doctoral fellowship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). My research examines Peace Education as a structural dimension of peacebuilding within Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS), focusing on how educational policies and pedagogical frameworks shape long-term peacebuilding processes in contexts marked by structural violence and social inequality. I hold a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Peacebuilding (Culture of Peace and Peace Education) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My work bridges theory, policy, and practice through critical qualitative approaches. I also bring professional experience in mediation and human rights within the Brazilian judicial system. Research interests: Peace Education · Peacebuilding · Critical Peace Studies · Education and Social Transformation.
