Biography

Isabeli Santiago (b. 1993, Sorocaba - SP, Brazil) is a curator, art historian, writer and feminist. She moved to Portugal in 2008 and has been living and working in Porto since 2012. She graduated with a degree in Art History from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP, 2016) and obtained a Master's degree in Art Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP, 2018), having defended her thesis "Palimpsest Project: Translation and Transcreation in Contemporary Curatorial Practices". She is currently a PhD candidate in Feminist Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (FLUC-CES), with her doctoral research focusing on Women's Public Memory and its representation in the toponymy of the city of Porto.
