Carlos Fortuna distinguished with the Análise Social Prize 2020

Carlos Fortuna, professor at the Faculty of Economics and researcher at the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra, was awarded the Análise Social Prize (2020) ex-aequo for his article "O mundo social do ruído. Contributos para uma abordagem sociológica [The social world of noise. Contributions to a sociological approach], published in the journal Análise Social of ICS-UL | Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
The distinction was also awarded to Ricardo Paes Mamede, for the article “Explicações alternativas para a crise do Euro e suas implicações” [Alternative explanations for the Euro crisis and its implications], by a jury composed of Sofia Aboim (president, ICS-University of Lisbon), António Firmino da Costa (ISCTE-IUL), Bela Feldman-Bianco (UNICAMP), Alina Pereira Esteves (IGOT-University of Lisbon) and Octavio Amorim Neto (EBAPE-Fundação Getulio Vargas).
The prize, with a pecuniary value of 1000 euros, will be delivered at the ICS Forum, which will take place at ICS on December 14th, at 5:30pm.
