The doctoral thesis "As desigualdades entre mulheres e homens no mercado de trabalho e a sua medição: contributos de um novo indicador composto para os países da UE-28", authored by Carina Raquel Mendes Jordão was unanimously awarded the "Maria Lamas" Prize (for Studies on Women, Gender and Equality), 2022 edition.

The awarded work was previously publicly presented to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) within the scope of the doctoral programme in Sociology: Labour Relations, Social Inequalities and Trade Unionism (resulting from a partnership between FEUC and the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra).

The thesis is supervised by Virgínia Ferreira (FEUC) and Carla Amado (University of Algarve).
