Biography

PhD candidate in Post-Colonialism and Global Citizenship at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (FEUC), Portugal, where she is currently conducting research entitled "Immigrant Corporealities: the Bodies of Brazilian Youth in the Portuguese Education System", which is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) (2024-2028); she holds a Master's degree in Physical Education from the Postgraduate Programme in Physical Education at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (PGEF-UFES), Brazil (2020-2022); and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (CEFD-UFES), Brazil (2015-2020). She has experience in the field of Education, with a focus on the Teaching of Ethnic-Racial Relations and Physical Education, working primarily on the following themes: insurgent epistemologies, the Black body and its Afro-diasporic aesthetics, youth empowerment and forms of re-existence, corporealities and Brazilian immigration, as well as public education policies for interculturalism. She is affiliated with the Centre for Social Studies (CES/UC).
