Roberta Scatolini
Biography
PhD candidate in Estudos Feministas (Feminist Studies) at the Centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra (CES/FLUC/UC), with the thesis project "Educação Popular e corporeidade: diálogos possíveis para uma práxis de educação feminista", funded by the FCT. She holds a Master's degree in Educação: Psicologia da Educação from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), with the dissertation Um estudo da Corporeidade com Educadores: uma experiência com o Teatro do Oprimido (2012); a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, São Paulo (1996); and a degree in Acting from the Célia Helena Centro de Artes e Educação, São Paulo (1997). She completed her training in Psicodrama Clínico at the Escola Paulista de Psicodrama (2006) and holds a Specialization in Estudos Feministas from the Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) and Faculdade de Letras (FLUC) da Universidade de Coimbra (2019). She has worked as a pedagogical coordinator on several projects in the fields of education, culture, art, and human rights at the Instituto Paulo Freire/SP (2006-2015), with particular emphasis on the Pontos de Cultura - part of the Programa Cultura Viva during the administration of the Minister of Culture Gilberto Gil. Furthermore, she was part of the projects of the Núcleo de Trabalhos Comunitários, an extension program of the Faculdade de Educação da PUC/SP (1997-2006), focusing on the continuing education of teachers and educators in formal and non-formal education throughout Brazil. She served as Supervisor of Studies and Research at the Centro de Formação em Segurança Urbana do município de São Paulo (2002-2005) and worked at the Serviço Social do Comércio de São Paulo (Sesc/SP) in the area of programming and curatorship for Education, Theater, and Literature. In Portugal, she has been conducting Theater of the Oppressed workshops with young students in public schools within the context of the Programa CES Vai à Escola, with women's groups organized by UMAR - União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta, and in the following international training programs offered by CES/UC: Summer School "O Pluriverso da Justiça Eco-Social" (2022) and Un-schooling the summer: Walking the line of environmental injustice in Alentejo (2023). As a psychologist, she provides online consultations in Brazil (CRP 50418-6) and in-person sessions in Coimbra, Portugal (OPP 30370). Currently, she is part of the project "Ouvir a voz do Barroso", proposed by the collective Unidos em Defesa de Covas do Barroso and funded by the Netherlands Helsinki Committee, developing Theater of the Oppressed workshops with village residents in the region.
